SBM Industries places respect for the environment high on its list of priorities. Being conscious of how fragile Nature can be, we choose to use wood species in the manufacture of our blinds that won't endanger the forests of the Amazon. Basswood our choice is a North-American species with good renewal potential and is easily transformable. Basswood's pale coloring lends itself to finishing with rich tints in the manufacturing process and gives us the flexibility we need to offer you a wide palette of hues for interior decorating.
We select our woods directly from the forest products provider. We monitor the bleaching and drying processes to be sure the logs from which we cut our slats are flawless. Wood, being a natural product, varies according to many factors such as soil conditions where it grows and exposure to wind, rain and sun. Drying and bleaching wood is as much an art as a science. We deal only with masters in this field and only use the best they can deliver.
